burgee WHY OASIS SAILING CLUB?

The Oasis Sailing Club makes recreational sailing available to members and their guests and provides instruction in sailing to those members who wish to learn how to handle a sailboat.

The goal of the club is to offer fun, safe sailing for its members and guests.

Oasis Sailing Club began in 1986 with four members and has grown to 200! The club maintains a fleet of two sailboats docked at Newport Harbor Basin Marina.

Members and guests enjoy blue water casual, advanced, challenge and race sailing. The club also offers a variety of sailing venues such as day trips to Dana Point, Los Alamitos Bay and other western ports, overnight sails to Santa Catalina and sails originating in Long Beach. Social activities include holiday parties, beach picnics and wine tastings.

Members can sign up for sails online, during monthly meetings or by calling Skippers.

Oasis Sailing Club also gives back to the Newport Beach community by helping the Friends of OASIS with several of its fund raisers, the American Legion Yacht Club with its Sail for the Visually Impaired, Glory Days Boat Parade and Christmas Boat Parade, as well as Fascination with its sails for veterans and students with special needs.

Membership in Oasis Sailing Club requires Friends of OASIS membership.

Join the Oasis Sailing Club and enjoy all of its sailing and social activities!!
